Mineral imbalances are at the root of many chronic health concerns. These imbalances can typically be detected through Hair Analysis months or even years before they may appear in blood. HTMA offers a powerful screening tool for the body’s endocrine system, thyroid expression, adrenal status, energy issues, clues into digestive disorders, (preventative) cardiovascular and musculoskeletal markers, one’s stress response, depression, anxiety, and more.
There are many forms of “hair analysis” on the market today, many of which are NOT based on the science of nutritional balancing which was developed in the 1970s & 80s by Drs Eck and Watts. They were the ones who established the ideal reference ranges for minerals in hair and how mineral levels and corresponding ratios relate to health conditions. Eck and Watts were the founders of the ARL and TEI labs respectively, which today remain the top 2 labs globally that specialize in this test and follow all proper testing protocol. Rick works with the Trace Elements lab (TEI), which uses ICP Mass Spectrometry (the most modern and expensive analytical technique for routine elemental analysis, and which adheres to the highest standards of quality control.
HTMA remains the primary test of choice by the US Environmental Protection Agency for detecting heavy metals in the body, and provides a valuable roadmap for dietary guidance, safe detox, and optimizing health.

Rick Fischer is one of the leading global experts in HTMA and mineral-based health education. He has instructed countless practitioners who today now offer HTMA in their practices. Rick is also the founder of www.coppertoxic.com and, along with authoring the seminal book on the topic, is at the global forefront of advancing support and education for this widespread yet silent copper toxicity epidemic.
As founder and instructor of the ground-breaking Mineral Mastery program, Rick is also at the industry forefront of mineral-based health education. As well, he is co-founder of the annual HTMA Virtual Summit, helping to advance education and ensure the integrity of authentic HTMA across the industry.
Beyond his clinical HTMA work through Advanced Healing Arts for local clients, Rick provides HTMA consulting services internationally through www.htmatest.com and www.mineralsandhealth.com.
Rick provides HTMA services to clients globally. In fact, more than 95% of Rick’s clients are international! Out of town clients can easily order HTMA Testing and any of Rick’s various HTMA support packages through THIS LINK. When you order through MineralsandHealth.com, you will be automatically provided everything you need to get started right away. (Please note: certain countries have restrictions when ordering HTMA. If you are an international client, please read this page first to make sure we can order testing for you. Consultations are available worldwide without restriction).

You can also use our Contact Form here, or even book a complimentary 15 minute consultation from the treatment menu on this page.

Hair Preparation: Hair should be washed 12 to 72 hours prior to appointment, and free of sprays and gels at time of appointment. For at least one week prior to your appointment please avoid the use of Head & Shoulders or other anti-dandruff shampoos, Selsun Blue, and Epsom Salt bath water.
Hair is sampled from the underlayers toward the back of the head. For most people, the sampling is completely invisible and won’t affect your beautiful hairstyle. If your hair is bleached, at least 1cm of new untreated growth is needed for sampling. If dyed, at least 1 cm of new untreated growth or 8 hair washings since treatment is suggested.
Personalized Approach: Rick is known for his highly personalized approach to HTMA. If you are ordering the Personalized Report with your HTMA, he’ll take the time to detail out in your report full explanation of your key mineral levels and ratios, how your levels may be affecting YOUR health concerns (where applicable), and you’ll be provided a customized mineral balancing program and dietary guidelines for your unique mineral profile.
Location: Rick is in the downstairs clinic at 2619 St John’s Street
Results: Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive (by email or in person) your lab test results and your report/program.
Cancellation Policy: As Rick creates his schedule around your appointment, cancellations made less than 8 hours prior to appointment and no shows will incur a $40 fee.

As a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I seek to find balance in the human body. TCM considers physiological, emotional, environmental aspects as being equally important puzzle pieces connected to make up a beautiful and complete picture of wellness.
My unique post graduate studies, and hands-on clinical experience of over 10 years, has refined my skills to specialize in several key areas designed to support holistic health from the inside out:
physical pain
skin rejuvenation
digestion/ metabolism
hormone balancing
stress management
Having an education in many styles of massage therapy, in addition to receiving multiple regenerative needling, and advanced Clinical Pilates instructor certifications, has allowed me to properly relieve:
acute/ chronic muscle tightness
throbbing/ aching/ pulsing/ cramping
frozen shoulder/ shoulder blades
lower back/ hip flexor/ SI joint
sciatica/ tingling/ shooting/ numbness
tennis/ golfers elbow/ tendonitis
carpal tunnel/ wrist/ hand/ trigger finger
weakness/ instability/ compensation
postural tendencies/ repetitive/ overuse
tension headaches/ migraines
Often, there are further factors to consider after undoing knots and kinks in the body: hydration, nutrition, movement, rest. This will help to keep the aches away once they’ve been released by one or more of these tools/ techniques:
acupuncture/ electro acupuncture
dry needling/ trigger point
cupping/ gua sha
massage/ tuina
active/ passive stretching
exercise/ re-engagement
alignment correction
supplementation/ herbs
nutrition counseling
Skin Health is another fascinating field where the internal affects the external to a great degree. As we are all aware, what we eat, when we sleep, how we feel, have an immediate effect on our face:
acne/ cystic acne
rosacea/ capillaries
eczema/ psoriasis
dry/ withered lips
dark circles/ puffy eyes
fine lines/ wrinkles
sagging/ hollowing
